Marvel action movie star Jeremy Renner is recovering in a Reno hospital after his gigantic snowplow crushed his chest and ran over one of his legs at his Nevada home on New Year’s Day.
The ‘Hurt Locker’ Oscar nominated actor was snowplowing the driveway to his isolated High Sierra mountain retreat when he was critically injured.

Renner was standing outside the 14,300-pound PistenBully when a safety device failed and the machine began to roll.
The tough guy actor was trying to climb back into the driver’s seat when it ran over his upper body and leg.
He was able to call a neighbor, a doctor who rushed to the house and applied a tourniquet to Renner’s leg but the actor had already lost a lot of blood.
The doctor phoned for help and the 51-year-old actor was airlifted by chopper to a hospital near Reno where he was listed in critical condition.

Amen to that. He was great in The Hurt Locker and now he’s in his own hurt locker.
