Vintage CRONENBERG is back
At 79, director David Cronenberg has gone back to his roots of films like The Fly, the 1986 horror classic with Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis.
The master’s new movie Crimes of the Future is vintage Cronenberg and will compete for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
Viggo Mortensen, Kristen Stewart and Léa Seydoux head the cast.

The director describes Crimes of the Future as an “evolution of things I have done before.”
The movie includes “references to other scenes and moments from my other films,” he said. His cryptic description of the storyline: “At this junction in human history, one wonders, Can the human body evolve to solve problems we have created?”
