BOB ODENKIRK’S GOT DEADPAN DOWN TO A FINE ART
NOBODY is a 2021 American action film starring Bob Odenkirk, who played the crooked lawyer in the TV series Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul. Also starring Danish actress Connie Nielsen (Justice League), American rapper RZA, Christopher Lloyd of Back to the Future fame, and Russian-Canadian Aleksey Serebryakov.

The movie was directed by 37-year-old Russian rock musician and filmmaker Ilya Naishhuller — founder of the indie rock band Biting Elbows and director of the film Hardcore Henry — and written by American screenwriter Derek Kolstad, 47, who created the John Wick TV series.
PLOT: Bored family man is shocked out of his tedious existence when home invaders burst into his house and demand money, of which he has little, so they scoop up a handful of dollars kept in a utility dish that includes the young daughter’s kitty-cat bracelet, and scram.
PAST COMES BACK TO HAUNT
Family man has a secret past working with the mob and it is to this world of lowlife that he returns to avenge the home invasion, and most important of all, get back his little girl’s kitty-cat bracelet.
The action is non-stop, and enjoyable. All the crooks end up dead and our anti-hero is about to begin a new life with his family when the phone rings and —
That’s as far as I can go. It’s a great movie and Odenkirk turns deadpan acting into a fine art. The movie was filmed in Winnipeg, Canada, for $16 million and has so far grossed $56 million worldwide.
