Johnny Depp’s defamation trial in Fairfax, Virginia, is trotting out some bizarre skeletons from the closet.

The actor’s ex-wife Amber Heard used to call him “an old, fat man” and his mother called him “one eye” when he was a child.

The actor’s sister, Christi Dembrowski, 61, took the stand Tuesday and described their troubled childhood in Kentucky in an attempt to cast Johnny in a sympathetic light.

His mother used to hit him, she told the jury. And she called him one eye because he had a lazy eye and doctors put a patch on his good eye to strengthen his other eye.

Depp appeared to be deeply moved as his older sister recounted their childhood together.

In a weird side issue, Depp has accused Amber Heard of having an affair with Elon Musk while he and the actress were still married, an accusation the Space X billionaire has denied.

COURT BATTLE
Amber in court

Johnny Depp, 58, and Amber Heard, 35, are battling it out in court over an op-ed piece that Amber Heard wrote for the Washington Post in 2018 in which she said she was a victim of domestic violence.

Her article didn’t mention Johnny Depp by name but the actor sued for $50 million, claiming that ‘the clear implication’ that he was the abuser caused him to be fired from the lucrative Pirates of the Caribbean movie series.

Depp’s suit claims Amber Heard’s accusations are lies and a hoax and that she was the actual ‘perpetrator’ of the domestic violence, including an incident in Australia where she severed his finger with a vodka bottle.

Heard doubled the ante and is countersuing for $100 million, claiming Depp is trying to smear her reputation and end her acting career.

The trial is expected to last six weeks.
