FIVE AMEN
Listen to the rain
the comforting din
of rain on the roof
and in the bushes
as it rushes down
flash-flooding the ground
a lonely lost rain
full of memories
undead memories
of long dead bodies
barry and peter
and will and susan
now part of the rain

I’m relieved to hear from you. I haven’t heard from you for several days and I was worried that something bad might have happened to you.

I am touched by your concern, Clyde. Thank you. I was in Manhattan for several days, taking a ‘walk on the wild side.’ Now I am back in my sanctum sanctorum.
