Actress Gena Rowlands has died at the age of 94 after battling Alzheimer’s disease.

The actress passed away on Wednesday afternoon at her home in Indian Wells, California, in the company of her family.

Nick, her son by famed director John Cassavetes, directed her 2004 movie Notebook.
