‘Freedom Convoy’ truckers have blocked a Canada-U.S. border crossings, at a village in southern Alberta, halting shipments of beef and other needed products into America.

CHAOS IN OTTAWA 

At the same rime, thousands of Canadian truckers have brought Ottawa to a virtual standstill, vowing to stay until the government reverses its policy on vaccine mandates.

Truckers in Ottawa have been joined by thousands of demonstrators in the downtown area near the Parliament Building.

The demonstrators say they’re not going anywhere and that their aim is to create a ‘logistics nightmare’ for Justin Trudeau’s government.

A Canadian truck convoy that started in Vancouver to protest mandatory vaccines for truckers is now 44 miles long — and growing.

“It’s 70 kilometers long,” said Freedom Convoy spokesman Benjamin Dichter. “I have seen footage from an airplane. It’s impressive.”

HUGE SUPPORT ALONG THE WAY

The truckers have gathered amazing support along the way as they drive the 2,700 miles (4,400 km) across the Trans-Canada Highway through five enormous provinces.

Thousands of Canadians are lining the highway in the freezing cold, cheering from overpasses and offering to feed the truck drivers in their homes and restaurants.

The Canadian convoy is already ten times larger than the Guinness world record for convoys which was 480 trucks stretching five miles, in Egypt in 2020.

The Freedom Convoy left from Vancouver on Sunday to protest the Canadian government’s vaccine mandates for cross-border truckers, which took effect on January 15.

More than 16,000 truck drivers — about 15 percent — are not fully vaccinated, according to the Canadian Trucking Alliance.
