The Resurrection of Christ

A sequel to the 2004 controversial blockbuster ‘The Passion of the Christ’ will be coming to a theater near you.

Actor Jim Caviezel has been cast again to play Jesus in ‘The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection’ which Mel Gibson is currently writing and will direct.

“Mel sent me a draft,” Caviezel said. “It’s going to be the biggest film in world history.”

First film almost ruined careers

Mel Gibson’s first film was as big a money maker as it was contentious, taking in $620 million worldwide from a budget of $30 million.

The ‘Passion’ has been called the most controversial movie of all time and almost ruined the careers of both Gibson and Caviezel — that story here.

Caviezel, 51, said Hollywood’s fixation on Marvel Comics super heroes doesn’t amount to a hill of beans compared to the story of Christ.

“Jesus is the greatest superhero there ever was.”

“The Passion of the Christ’ — Jesus is condemned to death.
