Dog keeps his yap shut about Gabby’s fugitive boyfriend

BOUNTY HUNTER GOES IT ALONE

Dog the Bounty Hunter has received more than 2,000 leads on Gabby Petito’s fugitive boyfriend but he’s not sharing them with the cops.

“I don’t pay much attention to those guys, just like they don’t pay any attention to me,” said the reality TV justice seeker. “In 45 years, I don’t call them up and say, ‘Hey, G-Man, what’s going on?’ And they don’t call me up and say, ‘Hey, Dog, where’s your leads?’”

CALLS POUR IN TO 833-TELLDOG

The famous bounty hunter said many of the calls on his personal hotline — 833-TELLDOG — have been positive. There is a $30,000 reward on the killer’s head.

Brian Laundrie, 23, went on the run September 10 when he returned home to Florida without Gabby after they had been on a cross-country van trip together.

Four days after he went on the lam, Gabby’s body was found in Wyoming. She was 22.

There’s no doubt Laundrie murdered Gabby. Why the hell else is he running from the law?

“I’ll find him,” says the 68-year-old bounty hunter.

If his “collar” rate is any indication, he will — Dog has captured more than 10,000 fugitives over the course of his career.

SIGHTING REPORTED ON APPALACHIAN TRAIL

Meanwhile, a Florida man who is hiking the Appalachian Trail told police he is positive it was Laundrie who stopped and talked to him on a deserted road near the trail in North Carolina on Saturday.

“There is no doubt in my mind I spoke to Brian Laundrie — none whatsoever,” said Dennis Davis, 53. “Dog the Bounty Hunter’s daughter sent me an audio tape of Laundrie’s voice and the voice was the same I heard.”

The man stopped his car where Davis was hiking near the border of North Carolina and Tennessee and asked for directions to California via back roads.

He appeared to be “lost and dazed,” Davis said, and muttering about being in an argument with his girlfriend and that he had to get to California to see her.

Laundrie is familiar with the Appalachian Trail, having once lived there by himself for months.

The Appalachian Trail is the longest hiking path in the world, stretching more than 2,200 miles (3,500 kilometers) from Georgia to Maine.

CHASING GABBY MURDER SUSPECT

“I will find him!”

Dog the Bounty Hunter has joined the manhunt for Brian Laundrie, the fugitive woman-beater wanted in connection with the murder of his 22-year-old girlfriend Gabby Petito.

The famous reality TV star — whose real name is Duane Chapman — has captured 8,000 criminals in his career. The 68-year-old made international headlines in 2003 when he nabbed cosmetics heir Andrew Luster in Mexico, where Luster had fled in the middle of his trial on charges of drugging and raping numerous women.

MISSING IN ACTION: WIFE BETH

The outlaw hunter’s team included his wife Beth, who died in 2019 at the age of 51. Chapman was so devastated by her death that he wanted to kill himself. After a heart attack, however, he summoned up the will to go on with his life.

Dog started his search for Laundrie at the North Port, Florida, home where Gabby and boyfriend Laundrie had lived with his parents.

Laundrie, 23, skipped town September 14, three days after Gabby Petito’s family of Long Island, NY, reported her missing. Gabby’s body was found September 19 at a campground in Wyoming’s Bridger Teton National Forest.

HOTLINE: 833-TELLDOG

Dog said he has received hundreds of tips on his 833-TELLDOG hotline. Many of the calls indicate that Laundrie hightailed it for the wilderness of the Appalachian trail, where he used to go camping for months at a time.

“That is the most leads coming in right now,” said Dog.

The trail stretches more than 2,000 miles from Georgia to Maine.

“That’s what he does. He’s a wilderness guy,” said Gabby’s friend Rose Davis.

‘Dog’ wanted to die after losing Beth

‘SHE PAVED THE WAY FOR ME’

Dog the Bounty Hunter was so heartbroken after the death of his wife Beth he wanted to kill himself.

“I just hope that I don’t live very much longer without her,” said 68-year-old Duane Chapman on the season finale of “Dog’s Most Wanted” Wednesday night.

“Now she made the first step, she’s through the gate,” he said. “She paved a way for me. I want to take a goddamn pain pill so bad.”

Beth Chapman died in June at the age of 51 after losing her battle to throat cancer.

The dog said he doesn’t know what Beth’s reaction would be if he suddenly showed up in Heaven.

WHAT WOULD BETH SAY?

“I feel like if I did something to myself right now and passed away suicidal and I got to heaven and was like, ‘Hi honey,’ and would she go, ‘You d—k a—s, why would you do that?’ Or would she go, ‘Wow, you’re here.’ I’ll be like ‘Of course I’m here. You left me. I’m here.’ So, am I obligated to do that?”

The reality star said he hates to be left alone for too long because “That’s when I start thinking about things. I don’t realize yet psychologically that she’s gone.”

In September, Dog was hospitalized with chest pains which he said was caused by a broken heart.
