Remembering the comedian, composer and the first host of ‘The Tonight Show’ Steve Allen who died on this day, October 30, 2000, of a heart attack at the age of 78.

He was born December 26, 1921 (Capricorn) in New York City.

During a broadcast in 1959, he had this now-famous laughing fit.

Without laughter life on our planet would be intolerable.”

Steverino wrote more than 8,500 songs, some of which were recorded by many leading singers of the day. He also wrote more than 50 books, including novels, children’s books, and books of opinions.
