Not only are people on Earth looking for God. Even the Sun is searching for God.
The Sun is speeding through our galaxy the Milky Way at 500,000 miles per hour in its cosmic hunt for the elusive Creator.
And not only the Sun, but the Milky Way itself is looking for God — it’s barreling through 500 billion galaxies at 2.2 million miles per hour.
That’s one hell of a galactic God-hunt.
And yet God is nowhere to be the found.
Is this perhaps not a clue that God may be, just possibly, a figment of the imaginations of fearful, eternal-life-seeking human beings?
I’m not saying that’s the situation, I’m just sayin’ or rather asking for help in believing as I deal with (and I’ll try to say this with as little self-pity as possible, which is probably impossible) the recent death of my wife; and the past deaths of my brothers and my son.
We live in what’s called the “Goldilocks neighborhood” in the solar system.
But is it all a fairy tale or what?
No lol, that made me chuckle. It’s called the Goldilocks Neighborhood because we are in the most perfect place in the solar system. Not too cold, not too hot, away from debris, etc. It’s literally perfect. It’s a little scientific fact I’ve run into over the years.
Cool. I can live with that.
I thought we had already agreed that God was probably on his way to Cleveland via Amtrak. So, as far as I’m concerned, that’s proof enough.
That train derailed, I believe. No word on the passengers.
How much i like this article of yours, dear Sir ! You’ re a wonderful writer, You, already, know my opinion, dear Sir, about your writing style and etc. It isn’t, always, though, the writing style which makes someone a wonderful, or an interesting writer. It is thoughts, and questions like the ones in this article of yours.
I can write all day on this topic, dear Sir. I have same questions. And i try to give some answers. And despite the fact i ask God to feel free and to make a comment under a post of mine, he ignores me.
This kind of attitude -God’s attitude- is responsible for a chain of some additional questions :
i. Does he need his privacy ?
ii. Is he busy ?
iii. He doesn’t like Outosego ! Not at all !
And many more ! Many more questions ! However, i tried to give some answers to these three above.
i. if you need your privacy, God, go to settings and click on hidden
ii. if you’ re busy, God, use the sign : “Do not disturb”
iii. if that’s the case : i don’t like you either, God. Not at All !

An excellent response, my friend, and all good questions. Perhaps “God” is simply (not that it’s simple) the mythologized Force behind the speeding Sun and the super-speeding Milky Way and all the other astronomically-speeding spinning galaxies in the ever-expanding Universe, that is to say, not an actual Entity, but an invisible Energy. In Energy We Trust, so to speak.
You know how to pick the words, dear Sir. I use to say that : Words are Gods. For many reasons, and not only because the poets, and the writers, like to play with them. Sometimes, because they hold something in their core. Maybe, a secret, or a message, or some old knowledge.
“Message in a bottle” is the title of an old song (not that old). “Message in a word” makes a nice title, also.
You wrote : “En + tity”, “En + ergy”, “In + visible”, “Force”. What a wonderful discussion we can have around these words ! And not only ! And of course we can add words to our discussion, like : “physical” , “meta + physical” , plus a few more.
And a fine wordsmith you are, dear friend. I like that: Message in a Word. It never ceases to amaze me that all the greatest works ever written, just in our fairly recent history, from Shakespeare to Hemingway, were all created from a relatively sparse modern English alphabet of 26 letters.

Ps : i don’t know why (i think i can make a guess) , but i always had a feeling of a closer connection to Hemingway’s work, or his way of expressing his thoughts, or whatever you wanna call it. Despite the fact that Shakespeare’s language -and not only- is a wonderful and unique gift to all of us.
So, where did all of those Hydrogen Atoms, that make up^ this Universe come From? Out of Nothing? Why do Hydrogen (and a little Helium) come together to Create all of those Stars? That Star, Our Sun, makes all Life Possible here on Earth. How many Humans even think to step out-side, and thank the Sun for shinning, in it’s Great Sacrifice, to provide Life on Earth? I just lost the Love of My Life, my wonderful Woman, I Cry, I mourn Her Loss, yet I go on, until my own Heart stop’s beating…..I empathize with YOUR Losses, my Brother in Time!
I so much like the Word’s Great Spirit, so much better than the miss-used Word GOD! I would dare to ask; What Spirit is it that prevail’s this un-explainable Universe? Since, as far as I understand it arose out of NOTHING, NOTHING, at All!

God, God, God, a fig-newton of the imagination of man, who exists only on a speck of cosmic dust, circling a minor sun…..I believe in the Great Spirit!, How is it that everything on this Earth is designed to perfectly fit it’s niche in Nature? From the mosquito, to the butterfly, to the hawk, the Eagle, the Elephant, the Whale, the sardine? How is it that this planet perfectly rotates to give us night & day, how is it that we are provided with a night light moon, that provides reassurance that the Sun still shines, even tho it is shinning on the other side of our world? How wonderful is it that our Sun deigns to light up and shine for us everyday? How great is it that we can breath in air to live, at no charge? The Great Spirit may be invisible, yet it’s work is everywhere visible, form Earth to the billions upon billions of stars and Universes…..The God of man is usually a Petty God, created out of the mind of man, The Great Spirit, mean-while, pervades this whole Universe!!!!!

You wrote the word “invisible”, Sir. Which is interesting. Since there is no reason for a God to be invisible, unless if he is that ugly ! Another interesting thing i observe is that a non believer will often use the word “atheist” to make it clear, or to shout out “I don’t bite and i don’t believe”.
Another interesting thing is that the word “a+theist” is a greek one, and the exactly opposite word is the word “theos” which is equal to the word “God”.
The difference in greek is that the word -or the noun, if you wish- “theos” derives from the verb “theomai” (in passive voice) which means “being visible”.
Fascinating, dear friend, those Greek derivations. You raise a crucial point — viz., ‘God’ in Greek is ‘theos’ which means (derivatively speaking) ‘visible’ and yet, as we agree, the Christian God in NOT visible; therefore (ah-ha! you have hit upon the truth, sir!) that GOD, in fact, is a CONTRADICTION! My god (small g) this is new knowledge for me. From one wordsmith (if I may be so immodest) to another, id est, yourself, Sir, dialogues like this are wonderful.

I wrote a few articles on a few things -or topics-if you wish- and especially for 4 lines that the theologists (or the theologians, or the theologizers… lol) like to stay a lot, trying to explain the meaning of them, making a funny -or a sneaky, sometimes- translation or interpretation.
It is the well known to you -and to all of us, of course- “in the beginning was the word, and the word was God, and blah, blah…”.
The reason i wrote the articles is not to write just another opinion, but -since the New Testament was written in greek- to explain the meaning of the words in there, and to explain that a few words have a double or triple meaning – which is something common in all languages, to use the same word in order to express something different- and to explain that we deal with some kind of poetry, an interesting one, actually. I added, also, the notice that whoever is a poet, or a writer, or a wordsmith -like yourself, Sir- is able to understand what i try to explain. It is not that hard.
My intention wasn’t to spank anyone, or to be disrespectful to whoever is a believer, or a Christian, or whatever. Not at all. My intention was to write something for the young people -mostly- to get an idea how easy it is to misinterpret things, words, and stuff, and how easy it is -for whoever is sneaky- to pass whatever he/she wants to pass.
I think there is no reason to hide anything, unless if we have some kind of interest, if we are pro and traders selling theology, but we are not. Keeping things out of sight is not the proper method for someone to follow in order to approach some kind of truth. He/She will never get some answers, whatever the answers might be.

You ‘re right to assume that the verb “theaomai” is the same verb with the verb “theomai”. It is common in the language -when there are two vowels in a raw- to create a “type” with only one vowel, to make it easier for the people to say the word.
For example, the same thing has happened with the word -or the name- “Jesus”. In greek, the name is written “Ιησούς”.
Especially for this one, the word or the name “Jesus” – and because we deal with two vowels of the same sound, despite the fact that the letters do not look the same. Let’s say : they are not the same symbols.
And because it is difficult for the Latin speaking people, or the English speaking people to pronounce two vowels of the SAME sound in a raw (in this case : in the beginning of the word. They are vowels of the same sound and at the same time the initial vowels of the word, or name), and because the Latin and the English speaking people are clever, they tried to make their life easier. So, they decided to make the double “ee” sound (the sound of “e” like when we say “e-ar”, not e-gg) t+z = J > Jesus .
Ps 1 : Another interesting thing, Sir, is the following. When the vocabulary gives an explanation, it gives the more suitable explanation, since it is hard for some of them to distinguish the “voice” of the verb. Theaomai, or theomai is a verb which belongs to the passive voice, not the active voice. It’s another thing to say “being visible” -which is a clear reference to Thyself- and another thing to say “view”. Another thing to say “being seeing”, and another thing to say “see”.
