Leadership in the balanceHis popularity has tanked amidst the Freedom Convoy crisis and yesterday’s swastika slur against a Jewish MP. Even though he was re-elected last year, he could be ousted on a ‘no confidence’ vote.

HUMBLE BACKGROUND

Candice Bergen has risen from the humblest of backgrounds to become the most dynamic and influential woman in Canada.

She was born in the small town of Morden in southern Manitoba, the youngest of eight siblings. Her mother was a cleaning lady in a hospital and her father sold auto parts.

In 2004, she was the Manitoba campaign manager for Stephen Harper in his bid to become the leader of the Conservative Party.

She was elected to represent Manitoba’s Portage-Lisgar riding in the 2008 federal election in which Stephen Harper was re-elected Prime Minister.

Candice Bergen is 57 years old, anti abortion, and remains true to her roots as a rural politician who dislikes big government.
