Gabby Petito loved life.

The famous reality TV star — whose real name is Duane Chapman — has captured 8,000 criminals in his career. The 68-year-old made international headlines in 2003 when he nabbed cosmetics heir Andrew Luster in Mexico, where Luster had fled in the middle of his trial on charges of drugging and raping numerous women.

MISSING IN ACTION: WIFE BETH

The outlaw hunter’s team included his wife Beth, who died in 2019 at the age of 51. Chapman was so devastated by her death that he wanted to kill himself. After a heart attack, however, he summoned up the will to go on with his life.

Dog started his search for Laundrie at the North Port, Florida, home where Gabby and boyfriend Laundrie had lived with his parents.

Laundrie, 23, skipped town September 14, three days after Gabby Petito’s family of Long Island, NY, reported her missing. Gabby’s body was found September 19 at a campground in Wyoming’s Bridger Teton National Forest.

HOTLINE: 833-TELLDOG

Dog said he has received hundreds of tips on his 833-TELLDOG hotline. Many of the calls indicate that Laundrie hightailed it for the wilderness of the Appalachian trail, where he used to go camping for months at a time.

“That is the most leads coming in right now,” said Dog.

The trail stretches more than 2,000 miles from Georgia to Maine.

“That’s what he does. He’s a wilderness guy,” said Gabby’s friend Rose Davis.
